Herbal Tea
Herbal teas differ from tea in that, despite their name, they do not use the leaves of the tea plant. These infusions can be made from plant leaves and flowers and are generally naturally caffeine-free. The flavor profiles of herbal infusions vary widely depending on the plant used. Teepolku’s selection includes, among others, Korean persimmon, lotus and mulberry leaves, as well as Thai hibiscus. Persimmon leaf has a fruity aroma reminiscent of apple and persimmon, while mulberry leaf highlights sweet, umami and vegetal notes. Hibiscus yields a bright red, berry-like infusion that can also be enjoyed cold. Herbal teas are typically brewed with 100°C degree water. They can often be infused longer than tea without becoming bitter. You can adjust the strength of the brew to your taste.
