Kyusu #61, Gyokko (105ml) Tokoname-yaki
A miniature Tokoname kyusu from the Gyokkon studio, which is run by the Umehara pottery family. The teapot is crafted from Tokoname’s characteristic reddish clay, which turns black during a reduction firing process. It features a tall profile, with the exterior decorated by vertical grooves created using a comb-like tool. In addition to the textured pattern, the teapot displays exquisite kiln effects; the surface takes on a metallic appearance in places, while reddish hues emerge in others. It is equipped with an excellent, wide, fine-mesh strainer, making it perfect for brewing even finely cut teas. This is a superb addition to the collection of any Japanese tea enthusiast! We deliver the kyusu in a decorative cardboard box.
