Kyusu #51, Tosen (270ml) Tokoname-yaki
A medium-sized Tokoname kyusu from the Tosen studio. The teapot is crafted from white and gray clays combined using the nerikomi technique, in which the clay types are blended together before the teapot is shaped from the mixture. The visual effect of this clay blend is enhanced by vertical grooves carved into the exterior, giving the clay mixture a wavy appearance. The handle, spout and lid are made from unblended gray clay. The teapot features an excellent, wide, fine-mesh strainer, making it ideal for brewing even finely shredded tea leaves. We deliver the kyusu in a decorative cardboard box.
