Huang Jin Cha or Golden Tea is a fine green tea produced in the Bao Jing County area of ​​western Hunan. Often the name of the tea production area is attached to the name, giving it the long form Bao Jing Huang Jin Cha. The tea is based on the local tea bush variety of the region. The popularity of this tea has increased greatly in recent decades, although it has a history of several centuries. This quality has a lot of brisk buds but also smaller opened leaves. The shape of the tea leaf is wildly free. This quality tea unusually cheap in the context of Golden Tea. This tea won the Green Tea of ​​the Year award at the Helsinki Coffee Festival 2026 tea competitions!

Taste

The tea has a wonderful slightly gooseberry-like aroma. The taste is rich, mung bean-like and greenly sweet.

Infusion

Use a generous tablespoon of leaves. The water temperature is 80-85 degrees, which is achieved by adding about 20% cold water to boiled water. In a teapot under 500ml, you can make a few 1-2 minute infusions. In a larger teapot, the brewing time should be approx. 2-4 minutes.
